Faculty and Staff Resources |

Your support is key to the success of all students, and especially students who are first-generation college students. This page contains resources to assist you in your work with first-generation students at Webster University. Being first-generation is an invisible identity.
If you find through your interactions with a student that he or she is first-generation, you will come to recognize that first-generation students have unique experiences and face some challenges and they navigate through the university environment. It is a wonderful source of pride for these students to be the first in their family to pursue a bachelor's degree. If you have any questions on how to support first-generation college students at Webster, please feel free to contact any member of our Webster First planning committee.
