U.S. Army CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) Captains Career Course

(formerly known as Chemical Captains Career Course)

Webster University's transfer credit degree program with the U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) School Captains Career Course (CBRNCCC) (formerly known as the U.S. Army Chemical School) provides pre-approved graduate transfer credit for active & reserve officers who attend the resident course at Fort Leonard Wood -or- who graduate from the four (4) phase Reserve Component (RC-CBRN) course to transfer up to 15 credit hours of graduate transfer credits. The credit can be applied to Masters programs in the Walker School of Business & Technology and select programs in the College of Arts and Sciences including the MS in Criminal Justice, MS in Environmental Management, MA in Gerontology, MA in Human Services, MA in International Relations, MA in Legal Studies, MA in National Security Studies, and the MS in Science Management and Leadership. Transfer work can be used as either core courses or elective courses, depending on program requirements. Some programs may accept fewer credits based on specific degree requirements.

Note: The BUSN 5760 Applied Statistics prerequisite course will be waived for the MS in Environmental Management degree program. 

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Successful completion of the CBRNCCC resident or reserve component program.
  2. Application and admission to one of the Webster University graduate programs listed above following prescribed admission procedures.


  1. Submission of an Academic Evaluation Report (DA Form 1059) showing completion of CBRNCCC resident or reserve component program as "Achieve Course Standards" (or Achieve Academic Standards) or "Exceeded Course Standards."
  2. Submission of an official transcript showing completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited academic institution.

Transfer Credit Awarded

Pre-approved Course Substitutions: The following course from the CBRNCCC program is a pre-approved course substitution.  Webster University courses do not substitute for CBRNCCC courses.
